Two sauce-boats on oval footring, lobed sides and rim. A wide, tapering spout on one side, on the other a high C-shaped ear. Famille rose, decorated in various enamel colours. Inside on the base a garden landscape with two birds and a flowering peony near a rock. Around the inside of the rim a spearhead border, around the outside a chain motif separated by elongated panels with flower motifs. On the outside flower and foliate sprays. The shape is derived from a European metal or ceramic model. The famille rose representation is closely related to the coffee pot, cat. 94{}, but the rim decorations are different, implying that these two objects do not belong together.
