Description

Dish with everted rim, the base with ten spur marks. In the centre a river scene with a farmer leading two cows over a bridge. On the well and the rim eight wide panels with single figures in landscapes alternating with peaches or lotus and dots, divided by narrow panels with stylized tulips. The reverse with a flower and leaf scroll.

The panelling on this dish is an imitation of Chinese Kraak dishes but the central medallion is in Transitional style. The tulips are likewise Transitional motifs.
