Dish with a flat, lobed rim, the sides impressed with panels. In a central bracketed medallion bordered by various diapers, a censer with auspicious objects, chrysanthemum, peony and prunus supported on a stand of gnarled roots on a terrace. On the well and the rim, treated as a single space, eight ogival panels filled with peaches and antiquities, alternating with narrow panels with knots and diapers. On the exterior similar panels with grouped dots, separated by lingzhi fungus.
This is a rare design that however appears on some dishes, notably in the Santos Palace in Lisbon and in the Topkapi Saray in Istanbul. Examples have also been found in the Witte Leeuw (1613).
