Small round dish on a short, wide footring, a relatively thick flat base and a scalloped rim. Decorated in soft underglaze blue. On the inside rim a rock, a grasshopper and three flowering plants. A double circle between the rim and the central decoration. In the centre a rocky landscape with a river and trees, a bald man with a drooping moustache and wearing long pleated robes seated in the right foreground. He holds a scroll in his left hand. Ribbons and writing utensils hang from his sash. On the outside rim two flowering reeds in soft underglaze blue.
