Description

Compressed globular jug on a footring, with a short, wide cylindrical neck and a slightly raised upright rim on the shoulder. On the top a handle shaped as a ferret(?) with a curved back and slightly spread forepaws. The head at an angle to the neck. Three short wide loops in relief and placed on either side of the spout and behind the animal. Decorated in underglaze blue. Above the base a row of large pointed flower petals. The rest of the decoration comprises melon scrolls. On the neck a symbol and two small ornaments. The handle and the three loops are glazed entirely blue.
