Description
Large Kraak dish, with kiln-sand adhering to the footring. Decorated in underglaze blue. In the centre an octagonal ornament with a grasshopper on a rock, a butterfly above. To the left of the rock two sunflowers, to the right a peach and a large chrysanthemum. On the inside of the sides and rim alternating wide and narrow panels. In the wide panels alternately a peach or an auspicious symbol, in the narrow panels trelliswork. On the cavetto wide and narrow panels, the wide panels filled with ovals, the narrow panels with a sketchy lingzhi (fungus) motif.
