Description
Ewer on thick, high footring, with straight sides widening slightly towards the sloping shoulder. Long cylindrical neck with slightly curved flattened handle. The curved, angular spout is a reconstruction. Decorated in underglaze blue. On the foot a stylised wave pattern. On the body eight panels with ornamental corners containing flower sprays. Above the eight panels an undulating border of blossom sprays. Round the shoulder petal-shaped panels with cloud motifs, above these a star-shaped border in low relief. The neck has a leafy peony scroll.
