Description
Large shallow box made from thick porcelain on a footring, the domed cover with four round, open-worked medallions and a flat knob. Decorated in underglaze powder-blue with reserved decoration in underglaze copper-red. On the sides four precious objects, on the cover two dragons chase a flaming pearl. The white knob is decorated with a copper-red flower. The inside is divided into six panels round a slightly raised centre. On the base an underglaze-blue six-character Chenghua mark in a double circle.
