Description
Bowl on a footring, with sloping sides and a spreading everted rim. On the outside of the sides two succesive portrayals of Long Elizas and young boys (zotjes) playing in a garden with rocks, trees and fences. One scene shows two Long Elizas, the woman on the right is seen from the front with a rolled-up parasol under her right arm. The second woman is shown in profile. The second scene comprises a low table with a flower arrangement, a Long Eliza with a bouquet in her right hand beside the table, two young boys leaping about her. The representations are separated by a rock with a prunus tree and a banana tree, a weeping willow behind. On the outside rim the Eight Treasures, the inside rim with trelliswork, separated by four oval panels with peach branches. In the centre two young boys enclosed by a double circle, one of the boys has a crab on a line, the other holds a fishing rod with a lotus blossom attached to it. A stylised full moon in the sky. On the base a Xuande mark in a double circle.
